Cookies Policy

1. Cookie and Similar Technologies Use Policy

This policy concerns the use of cookies and similar technologies, as applicable, on the websites and applications operated by INDUSTRY TRANSILVAN SRL headquartered in Gheorgheni, Tatarului Street 156-158. (hereinafter referred to as TRANSILVAN).

Cookies are used for the following purposes:
- Site operation,
- Analysis of site visitor behaviour,
- Advertising.

This policy is supplemented by TRANSILVAN's data protection policy in general, which you can find here, and the Terms and Conditions of the site, which you can find here, which we encourage you to read, as they include additional useful information, including regarding TRANSILVAN's data protection officer, all purposes of data processing by TRANSILVAN, your rights, as well as their exceptions and limitations, etc.

Proper protection of personal data is an important objective for TRANSILVAN. Our desire is to be as clear and transparent as possible about TRANSILVAN's approach in this matter. For any questions, please contact us at comenzi@transilvan.ro

2. What Are Cookies?

A cookie is a small file, consisting of letters and numbers, which will be stored on the computer, mobile device, or other equipment of a user accessing the internet. The cookie is installed upon the request issued by the user's terminal to a TRANSILVAN server or to a server of a third party.

3. What Are Cookies Used For?

These files mainly enable the recognition of the user's terminal and the presentation of content in a relevant, user-preferred manner.
Cookies provide users with a pleasant browsing experience and support TRANSILVAN's efforts to provide more tailored services to users, e.g., online privacy preferences, shopping cart, or relevant advertising. They are also used in preparing anonymous aggregate statistics that help us understand how a user benefits from our internet pages, allowing us to improve their structure and content without allowing the personal identification of the user.

4. What Cookies Do We Use?

We use two types of cookies: session and fixed. Session cookies are temporary files that remain on the user's terminal until the end of the session or application closure. Fixed cookies remain on the user's terminal for a period determined by the cookie parameters or until they are manually deleted by the user.

5. How Are Cookies Used by This Site?

A visit to this site can place the following types of cookies:
- Strictly necessary cookies for site operation
- Analysis cookies
- Advertising cookies

Strictly necessary cookies and/or similar technologies are essential for the proper functioning of the site, being set on your device when accessing the site or following actions taken on the site, as applicable. You can set your browser to block cookies, but in this case, certain sections of the site may not function correctly.

The other cookie categories serve the purpose indicated in section 11.

6. Do Cookies or Similar Technologies Contain Personal Data?

Cookies or similar technologies themselves do not request personal information to be used and, in many cases, do not personally identify internet users. However, there are situations when personal data may be collected by using cookies to facilitate certain functionalities for the user or to provide the user with a more tailored experience. Such data is encrypted in a way that makes unauthorized access to it impossible.

What are similar technologies?
There are other technologies that can be used for the same purposes as cookies. TRANSILVAN uses Local Storage as a similar technology.

7. Cookie Blocking

If you wish to block cookies, some site functionalities will be stopped, and this may generate certain dysfunctions or errors in using our site. For example, blocking cookies may prevent you from:
- Making online purchases
- Logging into your account

If you agree to these limitations and want to block cookies, follow the instructions below:

Most browsers are set by default to accept cookies, but you have the option to change settings to block some or all cookies. Choose your browser from the list below to display the instructions you need to follow after opening the browser. The above links do not belong to TRANSILVAN's sites, and TRANSILVAN is not responsible for their content.

8. Managing Cookie Placement Preferences

In general, an application used to access web pages allows the saving of cookies and/or similar technologies on the terminal by default. These are stored for periods described in the table in section 11 below. These settings can be changed so that automatic cookie management is blocked by the web browser or the user is informed each time cookies are sent to their terminal.

Detailed information about the possibilities and ways to manage cookies can be found in the application settings area (web browser). Limiting the use of cookies may affect certain website functionalities.

9. Why Are Cookies and/or Similar Technologies Important for the Internet?

Cookies and/or similar technologies are a central point of the efficient operation of the Internet, helping to generate a friendly browsing experience tailored to each user's preferences and interests. Refusing or disabling cookies can make some sites or parts of sites impossible to use.
Disabling cookies does not mean that you will no longer receive, in compliance with the law, online advertising – it just means that it will no longer be able to consider your preferences and interests, highlighted by browsing behavior.

Examples of important uses of cookies (which do not require user authentication through an account):
- Content and services tailored to user preferences – product and service categories.
- Offers tailored to user interests
- Password retention
- Retention of child protection filters regarding Internet content (family mode options, safe search functions).
- Limiting the frequency of ad display – limiting the number of times an ad is shown to a specific user on a site.
- Providing relevant advertising to the user.
- Measuring, optimising, and adapting analysis features – such as confirming a certain level of traffic on a website, what type of content is viewed, and how a user reaches a website (e.g., through search engines, directly, from other websites, etc.). Websites perform these analyses of their usage to improve their services for the benefit of users.

10. Security and Privacy Aspects

In general, browsers have integrated privacy settings that provide different levels of acceptance of cookies, validity periods, and automatic deletion after the user has visited a certain site.

Other security aspects related to cookies:
- Customising browser settings regarding cookies to reflect a comfortable level of cookie usage security.
- If you are the only person using the computer, you can set, if you wish, long expiration periods for storing browsing history and personal access data.
- If you share computer access, you can consider setting the browser to delete individual browsing data every time you close the browser. This is an option to access sites that place cookies and delete any visit information upon closing the browsing session.

11. Useful Links and Information

Cookies are small text files that can be used by websites to make their use more efficient.

The law stipulates that we can store cookies on your devices if they are strictly necessary for the operation of this site. For all other types of cookies, we need your permission.
